Logo Design

The logo I created is inspired by the traditional Korean palace called Gyeongbokgung. I used the colors that are reminiscent of the palace. By using the Adobe Color theme in Photoshop, I selected the 2019 summit color template. The selected colors perfectly match with the colors of palace which are predominantly red, yellow, cyan, and dark indigo.

At the top of logo, there is a hidden letter H, which represents my middle name Hyun, and on the bottom; it has an S, representing my first name, Sang. In the middle of the logo, it looks as though there is Asian style door frame, but it is more likely to say that the patterns are actually inspired by the patterns in the Korean national flag.
I was inspired to use these themes as a dedication to my home Country and its historic reason. I’m in a field which requires to learn something new and make it mine fast. This palace resembles exactly my career path.

It was built following Chinese architecture style for the first time in Korea which was innovative and advanced back then. For that reason, I think the logo reflects my career really well.

Magazine Cover
Topic : " Genetically Modified Foods, should we be concerned? "
This is the magazine cover I made in the Illustration Fundamentals course, from hand drawing to Photoshop texturing. For this project, I got the idea from cashew nuts.
